The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys before the holidays, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.

DLN has partnered with Toys for Tots in Kent County for 2 years and is a toy collection site and sponsor of the program. The effort is led by Cindy Traylor, DLN’s Office Manager, who has been personally involved in the organization for over 20 years as a volunteer.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off to our offices at 5805 Weller Ct SW, Wyoming, MI 49509, Suite A during our regular office hours. Click here for other donation sites.

All the toys that have been collected are then transported to the local Armory, sorted, and organized for home by home delivery on Monday December 23.

“Our team is honored to share our time and resources with the over 10,000 children in Kent County who would otherwise go without,” says Phil Schaafsma, President of DLN.

The DLN team will again be volunteering in the warehouse on Saturday December 21. New this year, our team is also collecting personal hygiene items and stocking stuffers for kids aged 9 – 16. These will also be handed out on distribution day.
