New & Improved Event Builds Team Cohesion
Each summer the DLN team participates in a fun, team-building competition based on skill, dexterity and quick thinking. The 2024 DLN Olympics was held Aug. 8, 2024 and our all new events included:
- Drone Relay Race
- Left, Right, Middle
- Laser Tag “Cube Wars”
- DLN Jeopardy Trivia
- Strat Tac Toe
- Connect4 Bounce
2024 Olympics Commissioner Michael Reid, Project Manager Extraordinaire, has been roundly praised for his organization skills and leadership of the new and improved competition.
He says, “It was so much fun. We all appreciate our culture so much, and leadership’s willingness to invest in team building events like this is priceless!”

Beginning with the lighting of the DLN flame, competition heated up as the Drone Relay Race saw several teams struggling with coordination with one drone paying the ultimate price. The Left, Right, Middle game offered high highs and low lows as the perfect score achieved by one Olympian was thwarted by an unlucky final roll.
Laser Tag “Cube Wars” was a dynamic competition that saw team members turn wild within the normally tranquil office, and resulted in a controversial victory. Turning the heat down a notch, the DLN Trivia event included categories such as “Kevin’s Korner: Dad Jokes” and “In the Office”, and offered a rich opportunity for considerable points scoring for some quick-thinking teams.
Strat Tac Toe was an instant classic, with our detail-oriented team members becoming quickly obsessed with strategy configurations. Some teams quickly gained advantage while smashing the dreams of others. Connect4 Bounce was the final event and truly decided the winners with several close finishes.
