Site Installation Manager

Job Description

This Dallas/Fort Worth, TX based position, manages the onsite material handling engineering and leadership for a specific project site. They will be the primary link between project management, engineering, customer, and site trade leadership.

This person helps direct the site team in the absence of the project manager and is the eyes and ears of the project manager and engineering team. The Site Manager is a highly skilled individual with experience in controls and/or mechanical engineering.

Specific Duties

  • Maintain frequent and open dialogue with the project manager and customer regarding day-to-day activities of the project.
  • Ability to successfully lead and direct on-site project team / sub-contractors and delegate the project workload appropriately.
  • Execute Material handling schedule and functional integrations.
  • Analyze and comprehend engineering drawings from multiple contractors and integrate touch points from each key discipline.
  • Provide direction to engineering regarding possible need for changes in system design based on integration.
  • Help identify, arrange, and train distribution center personnel on key equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 5 + years material handling experience in conveyor systems with a deep understanding of integrating components.
  • AutoCAD experience is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Solid understanding of controls functions for conveyor systems.
  • Cross-functional team management experience.
